Quick start

General Set-up

  1. Unzip the downloaded folder
  2. Copy the folder into your WordPress plugins folder
  3. Sign into the WordPress admin area
  4. Browse to Plugins and activate Lead Capture Pro
  5. Browse to Settings > Lead Capture Pro
  6. You will need to complete the form with-in the General tab and enter your Stripe details if required. If you intend to offer and On Account service you will need select that option under the General tab. Please note that you can offer both Stripe and On Account at the same time.
Heads Up! if you are upgrading from an older version, deactivate (not delete) then re-activate the plug-in in the WordPress's plug-ins section.

Creating a Lead Capture form

  1. When Lead Capture Pro is installed it creates a 'default' lead capture form to get you started. To use this form you can go to Lead Capture Pro > Forms > Show and copy and paste the 'shortcode' at the top of the page. If you would rather start from scratch then check out the Forms section on this page.
  2. Now you have the shortcode, go ahead and create a page and add it to the content editor.
  3. When you browse to the page you should see your form. You can submit a enquiry and see it appear in the Lead Capture Pro > Companies area.
Heads Up! due to backwards compatability issues with v1.3 you will need to ensure that you have a field with a name of 'email_address'. If this isn't included then some emails will not be sent to customers as expected.

Creating a Companies Registration form

  1. This form can be added to any page by including the following shortcode '[lcp_signup_form]'.
  2. Company Registration forms cannot be edited.
  3. Once you have a form available on your site go ahead an submit some details. These details will appear in the admin area awaiting approval.

You are now ready to accept leads :)

  • Build unlimited custom lead capture forms and place on a post or page via a shortcode.
  • Choose what details are displayed to a Company by checking the 'visible' checkbox on the leads form fields.
  • Use a simple shortcode to add company registration forms.
  • Accept / reject or delete leads either individually or in bulk.
  • Accept / reject or delete Companies either individually or in bulk.
  • Registered companies can purchase leads.
  • Registered companies can see a history of leads purchased.
  • Take payment with Stripe's payment gateway.
  • Set the number of times a leads can be sold.
  • Set the price leads are sold at.
  • Plugin sends emails when leads are submitted, accepted or rejected.
  • Plugin sends emails when companies are submitted, accepted or rejected.
  • Plugin sends emails when companies purchases a lead.
Heads Up! Company Registration forms cannot be built or edited with the form builder.
How does the On Account feature work?

Every company has a profile, on the profile you can set a credit limit for example £500. Each time the company makes a purchase the purchase amount will be taken from the credit limit. If the company hits the limit the buy now buttons are replaced with a notice telling them they have no more credit left. At any time you can go back into the companies profile and enter a new credit limit – usually after they have paid their invoice.

Please note, Lead Capture Pro does not send invoices.

How does it work?
  1. When a site visitor submits a lead enquiry it will appear with-in the Lead Capture Pro leads area. The enquiry will have been set a status of Pending
  2. If the lead is Deleted or Dejected it goes no further
  3. If the lead is Accepted it will appear on the Companies Lead Capture Pro dashboard, with the details that have been set to 'visible' on display, the stock level, price and Buy Now button.
  4. When a company purchases the lead they will then be given access to all of the leads details including the contact numbers and email address. The stock level will then decrement by one.
  5. Once the lead has met its maximum stock level it will no longer be available for purchase.
Creating Lead Capture Forms

Creating these forms is simple head to the Forms area of the plug-in and click on the New button. You will be able to title your form and add a range of form fields.

There are some simple things to keep in-mind:

  1. The form builder is designed to create simple lead capture forms. If you require building complex forms this is not the plug-in for you. Please check out Gravity Forms or something similar.
  2. There is no option to create Date Pickers.
  3. The only validation rule currently available is if the field is mandatory.
  4. There is no option to reorder the fields once they have been created.
Emails broadcast by Lead Capture Pro

Based on particular actions taken, the plug-in will broadcast an email. The following actions will send emails:

  1. When a new lead is submitted both the submitter and site admin will receive an email.
  2. When a lead is accepted or rejected both the submitter and site admin will receive and email.
  3. When a new company is submitted both the company and site admin will receive and email.
  4. When a company is accepted or rejected both the company and site admin will receive an email.
  5. When a company closes down their account both the company and site admin will receive an email.
System requirements
  1. PHP 5.3 or greater
  2. MySQL 5.5.49 or greater
Heads Up! Support for PHP5.3 will be ending shortly.

During build the following system configurations were used:

  1. PHP 5.3.23
  2. MySQL 5.5.49
  3. Apache 2.2.31
  4. Windows 10
  5. Chrome 53.0.2785.143m (64 bit)

The lead capture and company registration forms come with some basic css styling applied. These styles can be overridden by your themes css.

Email templates cannot be customised without overriding core functionality.

Frequently Asked Questions
I'm not receiving any emails from the plug-in

Check that the space where the plug-in is installed has a mail server running, and that emails aren’t being junked.
